Privacy Policy
1. What we collect
When you sign up, use WhaLoop, or contact us, we collect the information you provide and a little context about how you arrived:
- Details you enter: your name, WhatsApp / mobile number, business type (D2C or service), and optionally your monthly ad-spend range.
- Account & connected data: if you connect WhatsApp Business, Meta Ads, or Shopify, we process the leads, conversations, orders, and campaign data needed to provide attribution and reporting. Access tokens are stored securely and used only to operate your account.
- Source & campaign data: the page you signed up from, referrer, and marketing parameters (e.g. UTM tags, Meta click identifiers like fbclid) so we know which ad or channel brought you.
- Standard technical data: approximate device/browser information and cookies set by analytics or advertising tools (see §5).
2. Why we collect it
- To create and operate your account and provide the WhaLoop product.
- To contact you on WhatsApp and email about onboarding, support, and product updates.
- To understand which marketing channels work, and to improve the product and messaging.
- For advertising and remarketing (see §5) — including building audiences to reach you and people like you.
3. How we store it
Your data is stored in our secured database (Supabase) and access is limited to the WhaLoop team. We keep your account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards; you can ask us to delete it at any time (§6).
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data only with service providers that help us run WhaLoop and our marketing — for example, our database/hosting providers (Supabase, Vercel), AI processors, and advertising platforms (see §5). These providers process data on our behalf.
5. Cookies, analytics & advertising
This site may use the Meta Pixel and similar tools to measure our ads and to show relevant ads to you and similar audiences on Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp). We may also upload contact information (such as your number, in hashed form) to Meta to create Custom and Lookalike Audiences for remarketing. You can control ad personalisation in your Meta account settings and manage cookies in your browser.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop contacting you. Email support@whaloop.com and we'll act on it within a reasonable time. We honour rights available under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws.
7. Children
WhaLoop is a business tool and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We'll change the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to let you know.
